Overseas Relationships

In a very needy part of India there is a flourishing Children’s Home caring for many youngsters who have been rescued from dire poverty. This wonderful facility was funded by a collection taken at one of our annual events. It’s just one example of the interest that FIEC has in Christian work overseas.

As the world become ‘smaller’ but the need grows, our contacts with churches in other countries increase. The FIEC's Overseas Relationship Team is responsible for promoting and monitoring these links and for administering funds which have been set aside to assist overseas churches facing an urgent need or emergency.  Grants are also allocated to enable members of  churches in the UK to visit other countries to encourage missionaries (More details of this Overseas Fellowship Support Fund are available).

It is a pleasure when  FIEC representatives themselves have opportunities to minister to believers abroad because such visits always have a two-way benefit.

The Apostle John was given a vision of the future and saw ‘a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.’ ( Revelation 7:9) . That is the rationale for ORT’s work.
