How We Operate

Our Aims
The FIEC exists to promote the welfare of undenominational Bible churches and to give expression to their essential oneness in the fundamental doctrines of historic evangelical Christianity. It is committed to defending the truth set out in its Doctrinal Basis and to promoting a united testimony to the world.

How we Function
Each church is linked with others through local groups of churches each of which is encouraged to appoint a ‘Visitor’ who offers support and guidance and stimulates fellowship between the churches. There are more than 50 such groups.

From 1 September 2010, the central activities of the Fellowship are under the direction of a Trust Board of 12 members..

The Trust Board acts on behalf of the churches in making policy, initiating projects, safeguarding the Fellowship’s integrity and in meeting, as its trustees, the FIEC’s legal responsibilities. It employs staff to help it fulfil its work.

How we are Supported
The FIEC is a Registered Charity (No. 263354) and as such is regulated by the Charity Commission. It is also a charity registered in Scotland (SC040111). Its financial activities are subject to a full audit each year by chartered accountants. The FIEC receives the vast majority of its income from its affiliated churches and individual Associates. This income is used to provide the support services and other ministries and projects established for the benefit of the churches, and for the advancement of the work of the Gospel in the UK.
